I have been in Georgia for 5 days now and it’s been great. I got the call from Patrick Vuagnat a few weeks ago regarding this trip and I got stoked on the idea straight away. We got Johan Jonsson on the team as well and nothing is better then to go on these a bit more unknown destinations with two good friends.
We have been shooting a lot and had a few really good sunset sessions in Gudauri with good result and today we moved to new resort called Bakuriani. It’s been snowing all day so we’re hopefully getting some fresh pow tomorrow.
Everyone has been super friendly where ever we have gone so I can really recommend to come here.

It snowed 50cm cold pow yesterday so today was all time.

It’s turning out to be a really good season here in Engelberg, the snow keeps on falling with sunny breaks in between.
When it cleared up the other day we had got plenty of new snow. I went up shooting with the local rippers Lars Windlin and Piers Solomon and got some really good stuff. Lars decided to hit a huge cliff in Steinberg and it all went very well.
Day three of sunshine we wanted to do an early morning session. The face I have been shooting a few times now looked ready and we really wanted to get it right when the first morning light hits it. I got Lars, Piers and local snowboarder Bimba to join so we sat the alarm on 04.20 AM and started skinning from town at 05.15. We got up in time to get the sunrise and I’m really happy we did it.
Right now it’s snowing hard again so it’s going to be epic tomorrow.

I had a fun day with the Windlin brothers and Piers and tomorrow looks like totally blue bird so then it’s back to work for real.

Aha, well it's a soft landing so no worries.

I took a day off from shooting after a pretty busy period. It was nice to ski without the heavy camera pack so I just had my pocket camera to get a few snap shots.
It has not snowed for a while up high in Engelberg but the inversion with the valley fog has made the lower part of the mountain soft and new snow has fallen almost every day. I got pretty surprised on how good the snow was and I got plenty of good runs with Eric who’s the owner of Ski Lodge Engelberg and the president of Paradiesli Beach Boys and his two crew members .
There is new snow in the forecast so let’s hope for a refresh.

It has been a pretty busy but productive week here in Engelberg with early wake up calls every day. I have been shooting with the DPS Skis crew for next years catalog and ad campaigns. Engelberg has always been a part of DPS history so they come here every year after the ISPO trade show to go ski and get some good content. This week has been extremely cold so it has been a bit hard on all of us and I can say my fingers has suffered a lot! The upside is that the snow stays cold and light so I should not complain and to keep warm we have done a lot of touring.
Stephan Drake was in the crew as usual but this year DPS had two new faces as well, Olof Larsson and Piers Solomon. Everyone showed solid riding and I’m happy with the outcome of this shoot.
