Zermatt

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

I had a quick but fun trip to Zermatt. We got a sweet setup and a lot of help by locals Karolina and Lucy. Karolinas cousin Patrik let us stay in his appartment so thanks a lot to all of you! It was my first time there and I understand why people get amazed by the   Matterhorn. The new snow that came had already warmed up so unfortunately the conditions for shooting were not optimal, dust on crust. However, I got a few shots of  French rider Patrick Vuagnat and American Matt Reardon. After Zermatt we headed back to Engelberg and got a fun day of perfect spring snow.
It’s snowing again so hopefully I can get some shots the next days.

End of April

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

This time a year people are starting to leave Engelberg and the end of season parties stacks up. Without a doubt the funniest one was the 80′s day on the mountain followed by Ski Lodge Engelbergs end of season party. The mountain has been pretty bad lately so in between saying bye to friends who’s going home I have been in the office preparing for submission season.

Now I’m heading to Zermatt for a few days, apparently they have got quite a lot of snow.

After 6 weeks in Haines I came back to a very warm and almost summer like Switzerland. The past 2 weeks has been more about BBQ in the sun and riding corn snow then shooting. I have done a few photo sessions but nothing too exiting. However it looks like winter is coming back, at least for a few days.
